Sign & Play (6 months-3 years)
Everyday Sign Language for Home & Play
WeeHands Sign & Play classes consist of a mixed age group of children 6 months up to 3 years. You will learn fun toddler games that incorporate language development strategies for you to play at home. You and your toddler can get up and dance or get down & read. This is a fun sign language class for the whole family!
The first half of this session is called WeeHands at the Zoo and teaches signs & songs related to animals, colors, playtime and emotions. The second half of the session is called WeeHands Pottytime Plus and teaches signs & songs related to eating, bathtime & your body, potty time and bedtime.
There are no pre-requisites for the Sign & Play classes. The classes are 45 minutes in length. A $20 fee is included in the total cost of the class for a Family Guide for parents to keep. Within the guides are the ASL graphics for songs and the 80 plus ASL signs that are taught!
WeeHands' mission is to respectfully share our knowledge of American Sign Language as well as our strong understanding of early language development. We are strongly committed to reaching every family, educator and health professional in North America and helping them to connect and learn with the children they care for.
Since 2001, WeeHands has taught thousands of families, child care staff, teachers and other caregivers how to sign with their babies, toddlers and preschool children. WeeHands classes and workshops teach parents and caregivers how to use American Sign Language vocabulary, along with language development strategies with their children throughout the day.
