CPR & FIRST AID TRAINING

American Heart Association Certification/Training: For parents, parents-to-be, caregivers, and anyone who loves a child! Infants-in-arms welcome!

This class will focus on infant and child CPR, choking, and first aid basics, the things that will assist you in the emergency situations you are most likely to encounter while caring for children. Additionally, we will also be introducing you to use of an Automatic External Defibrillator, as AEDs are being found in more and more public places, including athletic fields and gyms.

This class is designed to allow ample time for practice and questions. There is a 2-1 ratio for the manikins you practice on to ensure that you leave able to use the skills being taught. Participants will be certified by the America Heart Association for 2 years with the successful completion of each class.

First aid kits will be available to order, with everything you may need in an emergency in a size that you can take with you easily.

Instructor: Bill

The class is taught by a local father, who is a critical care paramedic/RN and a gifted teacher that uses real world examples and individual attention to ensure that all participants leave with the ability to actually use their skills. Together, Bill and his wife have also been foster parents to more than 60 medically fragile infants and newborns, and have managed a number of common medical conditions. Bill is delighted to provide information tailored to the needs of your child.
