Art Explorers: Tempera & Collage

Tempera paint is bold, bright, thick and colorful! It's an exciting medium for children and the immediate changes as they swirl colors together are delightful. We'll, scrape, push, water down, and thicken up our paint and try new ways to apply it to a variety of surfaces. Later, as paintings dry and accumulate we will rip and cut the colorful papers with decorative scissors then use glue to design unique collage compositions.
