Wiggle and Paint (18 months - 3 years)
This class combines creative movement and sensory-based art
exploration into one action packed session! The first part of each
class will be focused on providing a variety of fun, imaginative and
playful physical activities to challenge your child’s growing body.
Our creative movement activities will help your develop gross
motor skills, balance, rhythm, coordination, and help develop a
sense of spatial awareness. The second portion of each class will
introduce your child to a variety of artistic mediums and sensory
based activities. Here your little one will be able to explore paint,
feely goop, homemade play-dough, and play with water, sand,
dirt, and other natural materials. This class has been designed to
include a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that will
be sure to inspire your child’s sense of imagination and engage
their curiosity!

Wiggle & Paint Instructor: Shannon Nelson
Shannon Nelson has an extensive bakground in childcare, youth activities
coordination, and teaching toddler enrichment classes. Combining her
background in youth development with her passion for the arts, she began
developing her own art and creative enrichment classes for toddlers for her
business Mama
& Me. Shannon aims to help inspire parents with new ways in
bodies with fun, skill-building games and activities that parents can easily
Shannon Nelson has an extensive background in childcare, youth activities
replicate at home for more entertainment. Shannon is the owner, and
director of Mama
& Me in the Jamaica Plain Brewery Complex and leads
many of their classes, in addition to teaching at USES, Children's Art Center
in the South End.
